He's home

Luca is home, It's amazing how taking one kid out of the house changes the balance of the family, I really missed him! Not being able to talk on the phone makes it harder, it's not a natural feeling for me to not know how my kids day has been, I am realizing i am quite a busy parent!!!! He  had an amazing time and would love to have stayed longer , he loves the place and rocked at all the activities, getting Gold in all of them and winning 1st place in the BMX competition.
Whenever he comes home from a trip away I am always shocked at how grown up he is becoming,  he loves having the independence and is actually quite capable of carving his own way in the World. But as a Mum it is hard to watch your kids growing and not needing you so much but on the other hand it is good to know you have done a good job and  they have the tools for life to not need you so much. Although i dont think he is so independent that he will be washing that big bag of smelly washing he has bought home with him!!!!!!!!

Its Friday evening and time for a big drink and even though I have just discovered we are all out of wine (can't imagine who drank it all!!) i have settled for a Rye and Ginger instead!!!!!!

Oh how i love my kids i really, really do and Summer holidays are my favourite. I love having no early  alarm calls,  waking up each morning and having the freedom to do whatever we want and no real schedules, you dont want to go to swimming lessons today? no problem, lets lie in instead!! 

But come Friday night I am so over having my house full of the kids friends, having Mama shouted at me all day long, squabbling kids and my incredibly cute but stubborn little mans screams, he really needs to master the art of talking!!!!!!!!!!

So i am going to sit back and gulp sip my drink and wait for my Hubby to get back from his game, hopefully his Boys win so he will come home happy and enjoy the peace and quiet and be grateful that i have wonderful, crazy kids.....

 After two days of practice Alessia has mastered the art of handstands, after hours of catching her legs i suggested she now do it against the fence!!!!

To end the day we had a quick walk to The Candy Hut, check out Lorenzos choice in footwear!!!

Blue Mountain

We have just got back from a four day trip to Blue Mountain, we may have unknowingly chosen one of the busiest weekends of the summer as Wake Fest was on and hundreds of 20 somethings were in full party mode , Friday night felt like we were sleeping in a nightclub but a quick call to reception and a room change later we were all good. 

It was a wonderful four days full of swimming, horse rides, riding on mountain roller coasters and we even squeezed in night out (thank you Nana and Nonno!)just the two of us for Sushi and cocktails....

Perfect Sunday

Today was a perfect Sunday, my in-laws are here so we headed to the beach, we had fun collecting sea glass, swam in the lake, played with water guns and finished the day off with ice cream. 

Hubby is home tomorrow, it feels like he has been gone for longer than 8 days but it was worthwhile as the Academy boys won 3rd place in their Cup which is the highest they have ever placed but i will be glad to have him home, i missed you honey!!!!!
