  I can't believe that it was two years ago that we were in the hospital waiting for you to arrive, you took longer than we thought but you were worth every painful moment but i'm not sure i could do a drug free birth ever again!!!  I will never forget  feeding you and saying that your breathing sounded strange and then having to sit with you in the Resuscitation  room waiting for your breathing to improve, I was in such a daze, not quite understanding what was going on. When they told me we had to take you to the NICU ward I was so upset, you looked so big compared to the other babies but you couldn't breathe properly so we had to stay. What they thought would be a night turned into 7 and I think it was one of the most emotionally exhausting times i have ever been through, I found it hard to leave your side and would just sit next to your incubator with my hands on your tummy . The strength of a Mothers love and touch was really proved to me in those days, your stats would go crazy and the machines would go crazy beeping and I would lay my hands on your body and talk to you and everything would calm down the alarms would stop and your heart rate and breathing would become normal again

 You had such a tough first year but we  came through it and you are now such a happy, strong spirited little boy and you are so loved by all of us , I am so looking forward to watching you grow up and conquer the world!!!
