Bubbles and Chalk paints

 This week we made our own bubble and chalk paint mixture....

 You need corn startch, baking powder, colouring for paints and washing up liquid or dish detergent as they call it here( trust me calling it washing up liquid gets a blank stare, you should have seen me miming  washing dishes the first week i moved here :)

 Our master pieces, the paint is fantastic, and washes away perfectly, thank god as Hubby doesn't do mess!!!

 It soon became a body painting session...

 Once our bubble mixture had sat for an hour i made some wands and we made huge bubbles

Friday phone dump

 Friday Phone Dump... This week was another chilled week, we have enjoyed sleeping in and lots of bike riding at the park. Alessia and Franco took a cooking class and Luca had sleep overs, It was a nice week.

Getting our craft on!

 Today Me and Alessia got our craft on! I have been seeing lots of different variations of this idea all over Blogland, Design Mom did a lovely one where her kids painted paper then cut butterflies out and put them all over the canvas. We went for a more structured design and I love it! I am going to add ribbon to the back so we can hang it on Alessias bedroom wall.

We bought a Martha Stewart butterfly punch, different cardstock and a white canvas

We did one layer and then added another layer that we folded in half to give a 3D effect and it worked really well

Yellow Watermelon melon and Friday phone dump

At the farm after discovering we had missed the fruit picking we headed over to the farm shop to buy some fruit instead and there we discovered this yellow watermelon, having never in my life seen a yellow watermelon i had to buy it and it is really, really good, the same as red watermelon just slightly sweeter.

 We had a pretty chilled out week, lots of bike riding, we bought Lorenzo a glider bike, which I must say is a fantastic idea and he loves it! We took Lorenzo for his first trip to the movies to see the Smurfs 3D, he fell asleep but we loved it, it's actually pretty cute, kept them all quiet for a while anyway which is always a bonus!!!!

The farm

Today we headed out to the Farm, the plan was to go as a family and pick fruit but after a morning spent cleaning the garage because the Racoons had got in and trashed it, which left us wanting to kill our kids, honestly how many times do we need to tell them to shut the garage and then talking Luca into coming , i really don't get why being 13 means you no longer have to spend time with your family but get to hang out with your friends all day , we headed out as one big happy family!  Once we got to the farm we were having too much fun, even Luca ,who  said at one point " I suppose hanging out with you guys isn't too bad", Oh thanks Luca! , by the time we headed over to pick the fruit it had closed, I was most upset!!!!!! But it just means we have to go again...as one big happy family.
