Santa

Last week was a busy one with Hospital appointments and blood tests and my Christmas fair but we managed to squeeze in a visit to Santa

I love this picture, we had arrived early to meet up with the rest of our friends so we were there when Santa arrived and he stopped to talk with the kids, it was so sweet.

Today we got snow... thankfully it didn't stay around for long, just gave us a taste of whats to come, the snow boots and pants are now out!!!!

Papa

My dear Papa died today aged 94 and as sad as it always is to lose someone you love I am glad he died peacefully and when he was ready to go.

 I hope Heaven is as you always imagined it to be Papa and your faith carried you through to where you wanted to be. You were always such a sweet man and such a loving Papa, we always knew you loved us even from the other side of the world,Thank you for being my Papa. xxx

So my hubby is growing a tash and I can't say I am in love with it but I think the cause he is doing it for is great so I will put up with it for a month :) The funds raised in Canada support the number one male cancer, prostate cancer.

new best friends

These two are fast becoming best friends, it is so very cute to watch! After playing around for a while Levi got onto Lorenzos lap and curled up for a nap :)

dreaming of some solid food

So I have been on my no gluten, dairy, everything mushy diet for 10 days now and I must admit I feel so much better for it. I have become the Queen of soups and Daniele and the kids have been great about having soup for dinner every night. My favourite so far has been the White chilli bean, I am hoping that the inflammation in my intestines will have gone down when i go back to my naturopath on Tuesday so that I can at least start eating some solid foods. A gluten free diet is going to be a tough life to get used to but I have been feeling so much better without it in my diet I am willing to put some effort in, below is a great website that has done a lot of the hard work for me, I am looking forward to working my way through her recipes

Haircut

Over the weekend while I was at the movies with Alessia watching Footloose ,which we loved and had us dancing out of the cinema :) Daniele took Lorenzo for a haircut, I can't believe how grown up it has made him look.

 Here are some pics to make you laugh, we really do have some crazy kids!! Alessia decided to wear her Hannah Montana wig out for the day while shopping with me, she couldn't have cared less what people thought and I love that about her., she just dances around and chats away with people as though wearing a long blond wig is the most natural thing in the world to do :)

 And then there is this crazy little dude, we found him in the bathroom taking a pee standing up!!! Please bear in mind that I haven't been doing any potty training, he took it upon himself to strip and take a pee. He is just hilarious!!!!!!!

Future Ace

Our little Future Ace, every month in school the classroom teachers choose two students who have been working really hard and this month it was Alessia's turn. It is such a cute assembly, they all sing this future ace song that is just so sweet and all the kids are so proud of each other, it is just really nice.

Please note Alessia's dodgy fringe( bangs if you are Canadian!) this is what happens when your sweet little girl is let loose with a pair of scissors!!!!!

Trick or treat and the puppy

 These two are so cute together!! Lorenzo loves him, he is the first thing he looks for when he gets up, I can see them becoming best friends, I just love how Lorenzo is so gentle with him when he is naturally such a rough and tumble boy.

 I was on Trick or treating duty this year, Daniele stayed home with the puppy and handed the candy out,.The boys all disappeared with their friends so off I went with the youngest two, Lorenzo loved going up to the doors and collecting his goodies, he even growled at a few people. It was good fun, kids everywhere laughing and running from house to house  and I love that we collected enough candy to last a year!!
